FORMULARY: 10% AHA Anti-Wrinkle Treatment
Cream
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) have been proven to
significantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and
wrinkles. It safely lifts dead cells from the skin’s surface
to revitalize and help restore youthful, healthy and radiant
looking skin. AHA also renew moisture, refine texture,
improve elasticity and skin tone.
When formulating with glycolic acid, use a
concentration of 10 percent or less and
to an effective pH of 3.5 – 4.0.
Do a skin-sensitivity test on a patch of skin
if you are a first-time user of any AHA product or are using a
different brand or a product with a different concentration or
pH than you are used to. Stop using the product immediately if
you experience adverse reactions. Signs of adverse reactions
include stinging, redness, itching, burning, pain, and
bleeding or change in sun sensitivity. Even mild irritation is
a sign that the product is causing damage.
The use of sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher) is
recommended during sun exposure.
Avoid contact in eyes, on eyelids, lips or
other mucous membranes. If contact occurs in eyes, flush
thoroughly with water. For external use only. Keep out of
reach of children.

Instructions

Combine
ingredients of Part A with mixing in a microwavable
container.

Combine
ingredients of Part B in a separate microwavable container.
-
Heat
both Part A and Part B to 80°C/176°F.
-
At 80°C/176°F,
add Part B to Part A with mixing.
-
Cool to
50°C/122°F
and add Part C with mixing.
-
Add Part
D with mixing.
-
Continue
cooling to 40°C/104°F
and add Part E with mixing.
-
Cool to
room temperature.
